PUREPOWER Nutrition’s Chicken & Chorizo Paella contains milk that is missing from the label. Its Chicken Chow Mein is also being recalled as a precaution because some packs contain the paella instead. The updated alert covers products sold in Northern Ireland.
| Product | Pack size | Use by |
|---|---|---|
| Chicken & Chorizo Paella | 400g | All dates up to and including 17 January 2026 |
| Chicken Chow Mein | 400g | 15 January 2026 |
If you have a milk allergy or intolerance, do not eat the affected paella. Check both meal names because the chow mein packaging may contain the wrong meal. Both products can be taken back to the shop where they were bought for a full refund.
The paella contains undeclared milk, and some Chicken Chow Mein packs may have been filled with that paella. The two names therefore lead to the same allergy concern through different routes: missing information on one meal and incorrect contents in the other.
The update specifies Northern Ireland. If you read an earlier report, use this version when checking the geographical coverage and both meal names rather than relying on a warning that mentions paella alone.
For the 400g paella, all use-by dates up to and including 17 January are covered. For the 400g chow mein, the notice lists 15 January only. Check each meal against its own row; neither the shared pack size nor the date limit for paella can identify a chow mein pack on its own. Keep the packaging details when returning a purchase, and let anyone you bought or prepared an affected meal for know about the missing milk information.
Read the official FSA notice for the recall details and any further updates.
