Tesco Finest Mozzarella and Pesto Orzo Salad Recalled Over E. coli Risk

Tesco is recalling its Finest Mozzarella Pearls & Pesto Orzo Salad because it may be contaminated with Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC). The alert covers the 215g pack with three use-by dates.

What You Should Do

Do not eat the affected salad. Take it to any Tesco store for a full refund. STEC can cause severe diarrhoea, abdominal pain and sometimes serious complications. The FSA advises anyone experiencing symptoms to stay away from work, school or nursery until they have been symptom-free for at least 48 hours.
